Chicago Band AfterSound Teams Up with UNRWA USA to Raise Money for Gaza Aid
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CHICAGO, Illinois – AfterSound, a Chicago-based indie-rock band, has released a new song and music video titled “Stand Tall” to raise emergency funds for Gaza through UNRWA USA. UNRWA USA is a US based 501(c)3 nonprofit that supports the work of UNRWA, the UN Agency for Palestine refugees. Produced by AfterSound’s Zain Lodhia, "Stand Tall" features clips of UNRWA’s work with Palestinian refugees.
The goal for this campaign is to raise awareness and provide funds for essential items including food, water, blankets and hygiene kits to the over 283,000 Palestinians displaced to UNRWA schools in Gaza. “Stand Tall” is available exclusively at UNRWA USA’s website.
AfterSound’s members consist of Chicago natives Zain Lodhia (vocals/guitar) and Kevin Amaro (drums). Since the band’s formation at the end of 2013, AfterSound has been generating buzz around Chicago, especially after their performance at the legendary Hard Rock Cafe back in June. The band is gearing up to release a single off their second EP coming out later this year.
