UNRWA USA Volunteer Program
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with UNRWA USA. Due to the ongoing crisis in Gaza, we are unable to provide individual responses to interested volunteers.
UNRWA USA does not deploy volunteers to Gaza or any other locations in the Middle East.
Right now, these are the 3 most important ways you can volunteer from anywhere:
Option1:
advocate for a ceasefire + humanitarian funding
Send a letter and call elected officials to demand a ceasefire. Send this letter every single day until a ceasefire is reached. We need to keep up consistent pressure.
Tips:
Post it across your social media platforms and share the link with your network.
Host daily power hours with friends to write and call your representatives to advocate for an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian access. You can use the letter as your guide.
Option 2:
raise awareness
Actively engage with both UNRWA USA and UNRWAβs social media content by liking, commenting, and sharing across your social media platforms. Do this DAILY. The importance of raising awareness about the humanitarian situation cannot be underscored.
Tips:
Whatever your favorite social media platform, dedicate 15 minutes every day to engage with both UNRWA and UNRWA USAβs content on that platform. If you are on multiple platforms, even better!
Like, comment, and share posts from the day.
Option 3:
fundraise
Gather for Gaza
Host a gathering for Gaza in your community to raise awareness and generate emergency assistance funds for refugees.
Tips:
Organize a dinner, vigil, healing circle, or teach-in. This can be either virtual or in-person.
If hosting isnβt your thing, you can instead create your own personal fundraiser through the same page and share across your social media, email, and text to your community.
Should any in-person volunteer opportunities arise, we will update this page. We appreciate your solidarity, support, and understanding during these devastating times.
